Litir Chumhdaigh
This submission is a purely visual composition, being a suite of photographs forming a composition on the character of the riverscape in Cork City.
It is implicit in these images that this character is the creditable work of generations and should not be irrevocably altered to its visual detriment if adequate
engineering alternatives are available.

The mostly stone-built character of the quay walls and their navigation features should not be erased by the new functionality
of flood control.
Stretches, at least, should be replicated in the original.
More must be done so that the distinctive character of the City's maritime history is honoured in its face to the river,
as much as it is in the City's coat of arms.
Please reconsider the visual impact of the current proposals.
Those of any native son of the City.
