Dear Sirs,

Please accept this submission as my sincere and absolute objection to the proposed redevelopment plan to commence in 2022 which plan suggests there is scope to accommodate up to 137 new homes in a current green belt area.

The proposal is in defiance of proper planning and development and constitutes no more that an effort to enlarge considerably the financial asset of the land owner without regard to proper planning and development of the area or the value of the lands to the existing green belt, which green belt adds considerable to the amenity of the extended area in which it is situate . The green belt also constitutes a visually attractive aspect to any person entering Cork via the Carrigrohane Road.

It would be Impossible to cater for the requisite infrastructure required to accommodate such a plan in an already densely populated area and it would inevitable lead to anti social problems on an enormous scale given the limited amenities already existing in the greater area.

Yours sincerely,

Miriam O’Regan
