Myself and my family  have lived by the Glen park for 15 years and go there every  day . We wish to object to the idea of a cycle lane in the park ,we believe  it would be dangerous for the little kids. A vast majority  of people  now have battery operated bicycles that can travel at tremendous speed. There is no space to put an ample cycle lane, without escavation and removal of trees and terrace ing the entire Glen. Being a valley there is very little space to work  with. The biggest issue for all the residents  surrendering  the Glen, is road safety as you enter the park. There are no traffic lights or zebra crossings. So slow signs or digital  speedometer on the ballyhooly road . Each day families take their life in there hands and run across that road  as trucks Wizz by at tremendous speed. It is a serious  health and safety  concern and needs to be addressed  long before  anything  else  is done to make the Glen park a more attractive place to visit.
