TRAFFIC CALMING WORKS

 

PURSUANT to the provisions of Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994, Cork City Council hereby gives notice of it’s proposal to carry out Traffic Calming Measures at the following location:     Bantry Park Road.

 

Details of the proposed works are available for inspection online in the "Materials" section to the right of this page and also at Reception Desk, City Hall between the hours of 9.30 a.m. – 4.30 p.m. on weekdays until 18th January, 2019.

 

Any written observations in connection with these proposed Traffic Calming Works should be submitted in an envelope clearly marked “Traffic Calming Works” to Roads Design and Construction Division, Room 324 City Hall, Cork before 18th January, 2019. Alternatively, submissions may be made online through this consultation portal by clicking on the "Make a Submission" Icon to the top right of this page or may be emailed to roadsdesign@corkcity.ie before close of business on 18th January, 2019.

Brief Description Of Project

The works proposed for the stretch of Bantry Park Road between Knockfree Avenue and Church Field Avenue include the instalation of 5 new speed ramps, associated signage and road markings. These Works are necessary to ensure that traffic travels at a low speed through this residential area.
