Public Consultation on Cork Northern Distributer Multi-modal Road

Cork City Council, in collaboration with the National Transport Authority (NTA) and the Department of Transport, is progressing the development of the Cork Northern Distributor Multi Modal Road (CNDMR).

The CNDMR is a 14 km road that stretches from Carrigrohane Road on the western side of the city to Glanmire on the eastern side, traversing around the northern part of Cork City.

The purpose of the scheme is to:

  • To provide improved access for existing and future communities along the route and the wider city.
  • To facilitate the sustainable development of the area.
  • To provide a safe, attractive route with dedicated infrastructure for pedestrians, cyclists, buses and traffic.

Cork City Council has now identified an “Emerging Preferred Route” for the CNDMR and welcomes your submission in relation to the proposed route.
