NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ACQUIRE DERELICT SITE COMPULSORILY UNDER DERELICT SITES ACT, 1990
Notice is hereby given that the City Council (hereinafter referred to as the “Local Authority”) in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14 of the Derelict Sites Act, 1990 intend to acquire compulsorily under the said Act the derelict site described hereunder.
A map of the said derelict site will be available for inspection online at https://consult.corkcity.ie , and at the Reception Desk, Cork City Council, City Hall, Anglesea Street, Cork between 10.00 am and 4.00 pm Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Please contact 021/4924257 to make an appointment.
Any owner, lessee or occupier (except a tenant for a month or a period less than a month) may, on or before the 14th day of July 2021, submit to the Local Authority an objection to the proposed compulsory acquisition of the derelict site. Any such objection must be in writing stating the grounds of the objection and addressed to the Local Authority at Cork City Council, Property Section, City Hall, Cork, T12 T997, or electronically through https://consult.corkcity.ie.
The Derelict Sites Act, 990 (as amended by the Planning & Development Act, 2000) provides that if an objection is made to the proposed compulsory acquisition of a derelict site and the objection is not withdrawn, the derelict site shall not be acquired compulsorily by the Local Authority without the consent of An Bord Pleanála.

Derelict premises known as No. 65, North Main Street, Cork bounded on the North by Nos. 66/67, North Main Street, on the East by the Public Road at North Main Street, on the South by No. 64 North Main Street and on the West by Nos. 66/67, North Main Street, Cork.
