NOTICE OF PROPOSAL TO EXTINGUISH PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY


ROADS ACT 1993


TAKE NOTICE that Cork City Council, in pursuance of Section 73 of the Roads Act 1993, proposes to make an Order extinguishing the Public Right of Way more particularly described in the schedule here to with effect from a date to be specified in the said Order further to a request from the Mercy University Hospital Cork to allow the properties on the street to form part of the MUH campus and provide a more secure environment for staff that access these buildings.


A map showing the Public Right of Way proposed to be closed shall be available for inspection from Friday, 2nd July 2021, at the Main Reception Desk, City Hall, Cork from 09.00-17.00 Monday to Friday, until Monday, 2nd August 2021. Please note that due to current public health advice all such inspections shall be by appointment only. Please phone 021-4924000 to arrange an appointment. The map can also be viewed on https://consult.corkcity.ie.


Any objections or representations may be made in writing to the undersigned not later than Monday, 16th August 2021 or on https://consult.corkcity.ie. Any person making such objection or representation may include a request in writing to state their case at an oral hearing conducted by a person appointed by Cork City Council for that purpose.

SCHEDULE

RIGHT OF WAY WHICH IT IS PROPOSED TO EXTINGUISH
A section of Thomas Street, Cork From point AA at Thomas Street at the rear of the Mercy University Hospital on said map for approximately 18.7 Metres in an easterly direction towards Moore Street to point BB.
