NOTICE OF PROPOSAL TO MAKE CORK CITY COUNCIL BYE-LAWS

CORK CITY COUNCIL PARKING BYE-LAWS 2022

Take notice that Cork City Council, in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by Section 36 of the Road Traffic Act, 1994, (No. 7 of 1994), proposes to make the above-entitled Bye-Laws in relation to the control and regulation of the parking of vehicles on public roads in the City of Cork, in the area defined in Bye-Laws.  The proposed Bye Laws include provisions as to the payment of fees, the amount of fees and the manner and proof of payment in respect of the parking of vehicles.

A copy of the draft Cork City Council Parking Bye-Laws 2022 will be available for public inspection Monday to Friday (inclusive) during the period of one month commencing Friday 1st April to Tuesday 3rd May 2022 and between the hours of 10am and 4pm at the Reception Desk, City Hall, Anglesea Street, Cork. These draft Bye-Laws may also be inspected on the Cork City Council website at https://consult.corkcity.ie/

Submissions with respect to draft Bye-Laws may be made:

  • Electronically via Cork City Council’s Online Consultation Portal at https://consult.corkcity.ie
  • In writing to the Administrative Officer, Parking Section, Room 333, City Hall, Anglesea Street, Cork, T12 T997.

The deadline for receipt of submissions and observations is 5:00 pm on Tuesday 17th May 2022

All comments, including names and addresses of those making submissions and observations, submitted to Cork City Council regarding this scheme, will form part of the statutorily required report to be presented at the monthly meeting of Cork City Council. Accordingly, they will be included in the minutes of that meeting and may appear in the public domain. Cork City Council will retain data for no longer than is necessary and in accordance with the Council’s Data Protection Policy and Privacy Statement (available to view on www.corkcity.ie) and relevant Data Protection legislation.
