Proposed Education and Day Services Sites

We would like consideration to be given to provision of two sites in the Mahon Area to Education and Day Services for Children and Young adults living with Autism.

We aim to work with the Department of Education to respond to the need for provision of services by establishing an education centre for children with Autism who have been excluded from Mainstream education and or relying on home Tuition. 

At the second site we propose to address the shortage of day service provision for young adults with Autism. We aim to address the shortage in services provision of day services. We will provide a safe and encouraging environment using the HSE new Directions framework which will increase life Skills development, provide purpose and structure for the young adult and their families. The programme will provide opportunities for our young adults to engage with their communities, learn new skills, participate in local initiatives and benefit from Peer to Peer supports in a structured and purpose-built environment.
