Since interest in Eco-burial is growing worldwide and in Ireland, the Council should provide it as an alternative to traditional burial practices, which are seen as detrimental to the natural environment. Chetwynd (St. Oliver's) and Kilcully Cemeteries provide real possibilities for having sections dedicated to Eco-burial.
