Proposed Zoning in Kerry Pike

Clogheen / Kerry Pike Community Association note the intention as per Draft Development Plan to Zone the Area known as Ballycannon Park as Zoning Objective  -  16 Public Open Space per Zoning Map 17 attached as per Appendix 1

Please be advised that our Association plans to build a Pavilion to include Changing Rooms & Toilets to improve the amenities for the Sports currently being played in Ballycannon Park  - GAA & Tennis.  There are currently no toilets or changing rooms at this location and these would now be considered a necessity.

It is also planned to build a Ball-wall in conjunction with our local GAA Club as an additional amenity for the Area.

Accordingly, we believe that Zoning Objective 17 – Sports Grounds and Facilities may be more appropriate as it would achieve the aims of limiting the type of development for the Area.

We also wish to highlight that all of the land proposed to be Zoned Public Space is not owned by the Community Association, the land to the left of the Laneway is privately owned as per Appendix 2.  The land owned by the Community Association is on Folio CK 49232F as highlighted on Folio Map.
