Submission re best practice in design of cycle infrastructure

This is a short submission. I am a city resident and operate my business in the heart of the city. My most frequently used transport modes are walking, cycling and driving. I welcome the draft Plan's declaration of intent to (in effect) rebalance city street allocations back in favour of people who are not in private vehicles. This is long overdue. Reversing the gradual takeover of city streets by private vehicles is now an urgent task, the reasons for which are clear. It is all the more critical given that private car numbers have trebled in the last three decades. Our streets are choked. They need to be reclaimed.
