Objection to the proposed changes of land use of the site at Togher Road, Lehenagh More, Togher. There are a number of reasons why I feel this site is not suitable for education zoning.

I would like to raise my objection to the proposed changes of land use of the forementioned site. There are a number of reasons why I feel this site is not suitable for education zoning.
This site presents a number of road safety concerns;
- a significant gradient on Togher Road north and south of the proposed access,
- high level of HGV traffic along the road, relating to opposite business park, nearby recycling business and public house.
My chief concern centres around the fact that no amount of road improvements will safely accommodate safe access and egress for students, teachers, support staff and parents, with priority given to those walking, jogging, scooting, cycling and using public transport.
I would also like to make the point that the site itself is not suitable for any catchment area as it does not support sustainable and active travel. Without anything resembling suitable access via public transport (no bus route, no foot path) and the inherent risks of sharing a route with large amounts of HVG traffic there is justifiable concerns for parents.
