Hello,
I wish to strongly object to the proposed amendments 1.241 and 1.247 to the City Development plan.
There has been significant investment in removing arterial traffic from Cork City via the provision of ring roads and the Jack Lynch Tunnel.
It makes no sense to reintroduce this traffic onto an arterial road and overbridge in the Cork Docklands and Marina Park.
Such a move would negate the benefits of work done to pedestrianise the Marina, create a high quality linear park and improve the air quality of the general area.
It makes a mockery of the plan to make the city one of 100 carbon neutral cities by 2050.

Des O'Donoghue
