4. Transport and Mobility

More ambitious aims and binding goals needed in this regard. Air Quality is poor due to vehicle pollution, makes cycling and walking unpleasant at peak times, and danger to health from particulate matter.

Pollution emitted from car exhausts is at a level where it affects small children walking and in buggies at a higher dosage level. So while actively encouraging people to cycle and walk more, it should be made safer from a public health perspective by reducing pollution from private cars by limiting their use in the City Centre.

Would like to see plans to decarbonise the public transport sector as well reduce costs and increase availability to make more appealing vs polluting private cars.

In 2021 any plans to develop roads which are planned for majority private car use is irresponsible in light of climate crisis. Roads should be prioritised for cyclists and pedestrians, and piublic transport.

More cycling infrastructure that is protected by being separated from motorists and reduction of cars in the congested city centre. Enforcement of Pana ban and encouraging public transport use would have a far greater effect than costly and ineffective robot trees.
